Picking up the Pieces of a Hacked Blog

Update: Somehow I lost my March 2015 Income and Traffic Report in the process. If anyone has any ideas on getting it back, let me know. Found it thanks to Darrell W.

As many of you probably noticed, my blog was hacked, attacked, smacked, and/or whacked over the weekend. I’m not sure how it happened, but it created a mess of problems for me to deal with. From spam posts (about Jordans and Nikes for whatever reason) to broken tables to spam links, my whole blog was on the verge of destruction.

However, somehow with the help of some readers, my web host, the internet, and TablePress’ creator, I found a way to unbury my blog and restore it to its former glory. It’s not operating at 100% yet, but it’s close.

For now, I just wanted to give you all an update about what’s going on and say, on behalf of whoever/whatever hacked my site, that I’m sorry for the spam posts you saw on Feedly, my blog, and in my newsletter. Hopefully the repairs and improvements I’m making will prevent that from ever happening again. Please bear with me for the next couple of days as I finish getting this sorted out.

Thanks for sticking with me through this!

-Josh

PS. Thanks to all who contacted me about my blog having issues! Without you all, who knows how long it would’ve taken me to figure out the issues. 🙂
