I know I haven’t posted in awhile, but do to recent life events, I’m here to plead for your help.
On 3/12/19, my 9 month old son, Ezra, was discovered to have a brain tumor. This was a huge shock to us as prior to this, he had been a perfectly happy, healthy baby boy.

To say this hit us hard, is the understatement of the year. We were devastated.
This avalanched into what seemed like a million tests by hundreds of doctors and eventually a surgery to remove the tumor the next morning.
Ezra went into the operating room around 9am and didn’t finish until around 9pm. It was a long and brutal surgery, but we couldn’t be more grateful for the surgeon we had who worked tirelessly to ensure he removed the whole tumor.
Once the tumor was out, we started our long hospital stay to ensure Ezra was healing well.
It took about a (very long) week for the pathology of the tumor to come back. Unfortunately, it was not what we wanted to hear.

Ezra has Atypical Teratoid Rhabdoid Tumor (ATRT), which is a very rare malignant tumor.
In the past 20 years, survival rates have been around 2%, but in more recent years, it’s been closer to 80%. So while those odds aren’t great, it does give us hope.
Fortunately, the tumor was completely removed, which has contributed to better outcomes in the past. However, he still has to get through waves of Chemotherapy, before we’re out of the woods.
Ezra made it through a very intense 12 hour brain surgery. He’s such a strong boy, so we know he can make it through this.

Now, I’m asking you: If you’ve ever benefitted from this blog of if you feel lead to, we would greatly appreciate your support. Whether that be donating to his GoFundMe, praying for him, or just sharing this. Anything and everything is helpful.
Thank you all.
