Confirmed: Discover Earns 1% Cash Back with Evolve Money

After a month of speculation, whether Discover would earn 0%, 1%, or 5% cash back on Evolve “purchases,” we have our answer. Originally, I thought I could just look in the detailed rewards activity section of my account, but honestly, it’s not very detailed.
“Detailed” Rewards Activity
Because of the [not so] detailed rewards activity, I contacted support and the customer service rep cheerfully helped me out. She confirmed with me that my Evolve payment earned 1% cash back. Even though Evolve payments are made online, they do not count towards the Q4 category of online shopping. I can confirm this, because I’m not yet finished with my Q4 5% cash back bonus.
